A modern aesthetic, invoking a bohemian, primitive style.

“I’ve always been drawn to works of art that have an immediacy of reference to the handmade gesture. 

Each of these pieces are inspired from an aesthetic world view approach, that I call “Modern Primitive” — A practice of creating work in which the pieces themselves are an ongoing study and spiritual exploration of blending contemporary art & design elements, with primal influences. 

The sporadic and spontaneous nature that is associated with a “scribble” or “squiggle” , is something that I find as a direct relation to how I live my life.

At times lost in a complicated, tangled mess, only to find that slow, conscious, methodical movements will help you find your direction.

Occasionally, untraditional materials like coffee, aspects inspired by “Art-Brut”, and organic design elements that resemble mid-century modern aesthetics, are also worked into my compositions.

Each piece’s final result comes from trusting innate instinct, accessing a childlike spirit, emphasizing simplicity, rawness, a connection to nature, and most importantly— honoring the beauty of imperfection as a testament to the human touch.”
