"While approaching the final year of my Studio Arts degree from San Diego State University, focusing on Ceramics and 2-D design, putting my work out into the world was more than just a daunting task … it was terrifying!
But!
Knowing it was time to put my “big boy pants” on, once and for all, and get myself ready for the professional world, I quickly motivated myself to start what is now PAR KER made.
Motivated to share love, joy, and excitement with others through art is something I’ve always been passionate about and was the driving force behind launching PAR KER made.
All the art you see on here is created and managed out of my garage studio based in San Diego, California
I hope it brings you joy" -- PAR KER
.. LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE BRAND ..
A big part of my passion as an artist is definitely rooted in the creative self-expressive environment I grew up in (and still currently in) as a freestyle BMX rider in Southern California. Having chances to compete professionally in locations around the world has broadened my perspective on life and enabled me to have a 360 degree approach to self expression on and off the bike.
Having had the opportunities to compete as a professional rider in some of the biggest competitions around the world such as Simple Session & the Vans BMX Pro Cup, my love for travel and exploration has grown to be just as exciting as my love for riding. Interacting and experiencing the various landscapes and cultures of places like Spain, Australia, Germany, and Chile, (just to name a few) have shaped my approach to the art I like to create.
Outside of making art, running a small business, and competing as a Pro BMXer, I also work part time as an agency signed Model in LA.
I’ve had the pleasure to work on numerous commercial, editorial, and fashion type shoots in Southern California, as well as been hired to work on campaigns for brands like, GARMIN, MeUndies, SkinnyDipp’d, Disney, and Samsung.
My roots in the world of creative self-expression began with photography in highschool & community college. Having exposure to being in front of the camera with my BMX riding, and simultaneously being behind the camera for school, I think was something that shaped my perspective about having an interest in working in the male modeling world.

-- PS -- The "PAR KER" name came from a clever idea for labeling my projects in an undergrad art class so they wouldn’t get lost.
